my inflatable project

this is the third project for my 3d design class. Its an inflatable ufo. The demensions are approximately 12ft. X 12ft. X 5ft. Most of the projects took a few seconds to blow up, ours took two minutes. It was a lot of fun getting to work in a group. Dont always get to do that at art school.

Anyway,

Have a good one,

Used some watercolour to color in my tiger guy. My classmate told me he looks cuddly. I just think he looks orange, but to each his own i guess.

late night sketching

I miss camping.

It's hard to explain exactly why camping is such a spiritual experience for me. Waking up at dawn and breathing in the first early morning cold breath and feeling the energy of the earth flood into your veins. Lazing in the afternoon in your cot reading comics in the soft sunlight. Almost burning your eyebrows off with a blazing inferno of lighter fluid doused firewood. Cooking your food over a fire in the pitch blackness of night. Being sung to sleep by the roaring of the ocean. Then waking up and doing it all over again the next day.

It is the most alive i ever feel.

If you can, go. Go for those of us who can't.

Anyways, i sketched this while i was daydreaming about Morro Bay.
Have a good one,

New(ish) stuff

Here's some character studies i did during my time off.  Apparently i liked the last one because i did another page of him.

Have a good week,

Getting back to once a week....

I've been on a mini vacation, hence why i haven't posted anything in two weeks.

I guess i'm still feeling a bit of wanderlust.  I've been looking into travel planning, and have discovered that traveling anywhere is pretty expensive and since i'm saving for studying abroad in Australia, i have no spare money.  Thus why i've been contemplating riding the luggage shelf on trains.

Anyways, have a nice week,

the train

i know, it looks ridiculous, but, it something thats been on my mind.

Another photo adventure

Went out to arbor park in seal beach with my camera.  Here are some of the results.

I also had my first experience switching lenses in the field.  I use a macro for some of the close ups or the seed pods.

Have a good one,

characterizing.....

I've been trying to add on little quirks to the characters i've been drawing.

It's been a tough day for someone......
