Haven't taken much time to post stuff here, but i have been very busy sketching.  One of my professors challenged us to do a sketchbook a month, and i've been staying on track with that goal.  Actually, i've been going a little over, i'm almost finished with a sketchbook now.  Here's some of the pages:

 I've been drawing grizzly bears for a week now because of a few images i saw on some blogs.

This is a random lion design i did late on night that i thought was semi-funny.  

I've been noticing my people drawing skills are terrible, even cartoons, so i've decided to make this next months sketchbook all about designing people in the hopes that my caricaturing abilities will become better.

Wanted to use some acryllic paint that i had bought originally for some tiny landscapes. Havent ever used acryllic for character painting. Definitly will try it again.

afternoon sketching

A bear character that, when originally drawn in blue pencil, looked like a trancended jedi. After i threw on some color, that effect faded a bit.

First (adobe)illustrator project since 2008

An older image that i vectorized and painted in Illustrator.  It was fun getting to play around with that program again.  I'm also glad i haven't forgotten how to use that tool set.

my inflatable project

this is the third project for my 3d design class. Its an inflatable ufo. The demensions are approximately 12ft. X 12ft. X 5ft. Most of the projects took a few seconds to blow up, ours took two minutes. It was a lot of fun getting to work in a group. Dont always get to do that at art school.
