Like i promised, here are the best night photos i took in the last few days. They were all taken on a little sony quickshot type camera, so feel free to try this at home, it's pretty easy if you have the time.
For the ghosting photo i just set the aperture to 30" and placed the camera in a dark corner of my backyard at night. While the shutter was open i moved around and turned a flashlight on and off while i moved back and forth.
The lights around my pool don't say anything, though everyone thinks they do. I just ran and spun around as fast as i could.
I edited the lighthouse picture and did a print for my class and some of the new pics i just posted today were printed as well
Let me know if you want to know more about the night photography stuff. You'd be surprised what your camera can do before you get to photoshop (because honestly i didn't edit any of the first few pics).
I really enjoyed the one with you ghosted in. How did you do that effect, it looks like a double exposure, but I'm not sure if it is.
ReplyDeleteAm I supposed to read the light dancing? I feel like I should but I can't make it out.
I also like this last one, I think the composition is really dynamic. In fact, I like both of the stars and house shots.
